During the early 1990s, she successfully spearheaded the representation of in excess of 700 clients under the Employment Equality Legislation. During her career Mary has gained considerable experience acting on behalf of builders in Building Developments and private clients in the purchase of residential properties and also on behalf of banks and borrowers in commercial lending. "I welcome the new initiative of processing personal injury claims through the Personal Injuries Assessment Board, provided that it properly protects the interest of our clients. We have gained considerable experience in representing clients before the Board. However, in situations where liability is contested we will continue to protect their interest by vigorously pursuing their cases through the courts"
Mary now also specialises particularly in Family Law and has represented clients both in Ireland and abroad in all aspects of Family Law including Divorce, Separation, Custody, Guardianship, Access, Maintenance and Mediated Settlements.
"Through ongoing legal education, I keep abreast of the numerous and regular changes in Family Law and am particularly aware of the issues and difficulties that can arise both under National and International Law."
Mary is a member, and a former President, of the Clare Law Association and is a member of the Incorporated Law Society and currently Chairperson of Clare Youth Service. She has lectured on the University of London LL.B Program and subscribed to Articles on various legal subjects. |
